Cookie policy

This page lists every cookie the sguard.ai marketing site can set, and the ones it deliberately does not. The audience for this page tends to inspect the cookie jar to verify — so we are specific. A lawyer is reviewing the final text before launch.

Last updated: TBD — set on publish

sguard_consent — functional, first-party, set by us, value is one of unset/accepted/rejected, lifetime 1 year. Set when you make a choice in the consent banner so we remember the choice. Mirrored in localStorage under the same key as a synchronous read for the client UI. NEXT_LOCALE — functional, first-party, set by next-intl when you switch interface language. Records your locale preference (en or ar). _ga — analytics, third-party (Google), lifetime 2 years. Only set after you accept analytics in the consent banner. Identifies a unique browser to GA4. _ga_<container> — analytics, third-party (Google), lifetime 2 years, where <container> is the GA4 measurement ID suffix. Only set after consent. Stores GA4 session state. If you decline analytics, both _ga cookies are actively cleared from the browser. Vercel Speed Insights uses a fetch-beacon to report anonymous performance metrics and does not, at the time of writing, set a tracking cookie.

No advertising cookies. No remarketing pixels. No cross-site tracking. No Facebook Pixel. No LinkedIn Insight Tag. No TikTok pixel. No HubSpot, Hotjar, FullStory, or similar session-replay tools. We list these explicitly because their absence is a feature. If we ever add one, this page will be updated before it goes live and the consent banner will reflect the change.

The first time you visit, a consent banner appears with two clear options: accept analytics, or decline. Declining is a first-class option — it is not buried behind a settings dialog. Whichever you pick, the choice is stored in the sguard_consent cookie above. Analytics cookies are only set after you accept; declining clears any analytics cookies that were already present (e.g. if you previously accepted and changed your mind).

Two ways. (1) In SGuard: change your choice at any time via the consent control on this page (re-opening the banner). The change takes effect immediately — declining will clear analytics cookies. (2) In your browser: every modern browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies per site. Blocking sguard_consent will simply cause the banner to re-appear on every visit; blocking analytics cookies has the same effect as declining in the banner.

If we add or remove a cookie, this page is updated before the change goes live. Material changes are also announced via the channels listed in the privacy policy.

Update cookie preferences

You have not chosen yet. Analytics cookies are off until you accept.
